Charlene worked at the Camp the summer of 1948 with another girl from East Union girl by the name of Bebe Brown.

They worked in the kitchen doing dishes as well as setting up tables in the dining room and cleaning up.

She and the other hired younger girls slept on the 2nd floor in small rooms over the main lodge two to a room.

One night they were invited to the councilors cottage and she remembers that there were road signs of all kinds nailed to the walls that they ( councilors) had stolen on their nights off out in town.
