Report of School Supervisor.
The present school law does not require the School Supervisor to make a
report to the town. The financial condition of the schools is already set
forth in the Selectmen's report. The town has been fortunate in securing
able and experienced teachers during the past year and the schools have
been uniformly successful. The town is well supplied with text books with
some few exceptions. Some of the books having been in use for the five years
prescribed by law might now be profitably exchanged. I would recommend that
a small sum be appropriated for that purpose and for the purchase of additional
books as they become necessary.
Have sold books to the amount of 80 cents. Received of Eva L. Taylor $1.56,
making a total of $2.36 for books sold.
T. J. GUSHEE, Supervisor.
