I have enjoyed viewing the Hope Historical web.site and all the information regarding Hopes history.
I live in the house featured P-160 C.We bought the property in 1983 from Colonel and Pearl Godere.It had been Highfields boys camp since 1946.We still have campers stop by who attended Highfields.The house and land we bought were seperated from the camping facilites and the frontage on Alfrord lake.Portanimicut had no part of the main house,and only ran the sailing camp for five to seven years.

The Godere's employed many people in the area for many years and contributed so much to the town of Hope,but no mention of them.
